Focus and Scope

Berkala Ilmiah Pertanian is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing innovation and research in the field of agricultural sciences. We publish original research articles, comprehensive reviews, mini-reviews, and letters that contribute to the understanding, development, and sustainability of agriculture worldwide.

Our main areas of focus include agronomy, plant protection, and soil science. We also embrace interdisciplinary research spanning plant biotechnology, agricultural technology, crop physiology, agroecology, agroclimatology, and sustainable agricultural systems.

The journal places a strong emphasis on cutting-edge topics in agricultural biotechnology, including tissue culture, molecular markers, molecular diagnostics, vaccine development, genetic engineering, genome editing, and synthetic biology, aimed at enhancing and modifying microorganisms, fungi, plants, and animals.
