Respon Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Tomat (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) Terhadap Pemberian Mulsa dan Pupuk Hayati

Tomat merupakan salah satu komoditi hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomi dan banyak dibudidayakan di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Penggunaan bahan organik merupakan upaya yang bisa diterapkan dalam upaya menjadi praktik budidaya yang ramah lingkungan. Salah satunya yaitu penggunaan mulsa dan pupuk hayati yang menjadi pendekatan dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan mulsa dan dosis pupuk hayati terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial yang terdiri dari 4x3 perlakuan, masing-masing perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan, sehingga secara keseluruhan terdapat 12 unit satuan percobaan. Adapun faktor pertama adalah jenis mulsa (M) terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu : M0 = Tanpa Mulsa (Kontrol) M1 = Serbuk Kayu M2 = Mulsa Perak M3 = Mulsa Jerami Padi. Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk hayati (H) terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu : H0 = Kontrol, H1 = 100 Kg/ha, dan H2 = 200 Kg/ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan jenis mulsa dan berbagai dosis pupuk hayati tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang tomat pada umur 30 dan 60 HST. Pemberian dosis pupuk hayati berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah buah pertandan tanaman tomat. Hasil penelitian mengimpilkasin bahwa penggunaan pupuk hayati menunjukan respon lebih tanggap pada fase generatif tanaman tomat.
